Getting young people voting

In 2024 I joined together with a handful of campaigners to create UpVote, a project incubated by Own The Space to get young people voting in the upcoming election. The project engaged artists and cultural icons - including exhibiting Katharine Hamnett at Glastonbury - to make the election part of the cultural conversation.

Working together with high profile brands as well as key players in civil society, I replicated the highly successful Time To Vote initiative and signed up nearly 100 businesses in a matter of weeks to give employees time off to vote. Work schedule was the number one reason given by under 35s for not voting in the 2019 election.

I worked with brands like Northern Monk and high profile influencers like the Red Roses to build activations and social media campaigns to encourage their followers to vote.
